The Vallo Littorio Fort on The foot of Quaterna’ Hill

Just above Malga Coltrondo, at the foot of Col Quaterna’, along the CAI-159 path, we can admire the remains of the Vallo Littorio Military Fort dating back to the First World War. The structure, almost completely underground, is in an excellent state of preservation. Only the front façade where the now walled-up entrance is located remains visible while the rest of the building unfolds under the ground. The strategically located fort dominates the valley and was built along with other similar works during the First World War and perfected/expanded in the Second World War.
