Mount Piedo for Costa dei Lares
Taking advantage of the summer week, which appeared early in Comelico. We climbMonte Piedoand prefer a route that is usually only traveled by ungulates and hunters. We start as soon as we pass the entrance to the Comelico Gallery. We climb steeply along the Costa dei Lares, which fits between the wildValmadenand Val del Lovo. We quickly gain altitude until we reach theForcella Valmaden, crossing, without the path which has now disappeared, the splendid larch and broad-leaved woods, being careful to dodge the numerous rock overhangs sometimes hidden by the dense vegetation. A tiring but satisfying itinerary, a dive into nature left alone without the presence of man.
