Water Courses of Comelico and Surroundings

The presence of water in Comelico is abundant. In the lower areas the Piave river flows murmuring to the south, first joined by the Cordevole torrent from Val Visdende then, in the inhabited area of Campolongo, the Frison torrent drains all the water from the southern slope and finally, in the inhabited area of S. Stefano, the Padola torrent, previously joined to the Digon torrent, flows into the Piave, bringing much of the water from the North side. Small mountain lakes, scattered here and there, make the aquatic landscapes particularly suggestive. The most relevant bodies of water are found towards the Gruppo del Popera, near the inhabited area of Danta and Padola.
