Google Maps – The peak of Mount Cecido and Top of Manzon’s Salvades
Long circular walks starting from Val Visdende which took us on a splendid sunny day to travel my favorite Val Cecido. Going up the path without signposting, we reached Malga Cecido where I was able to capture the Val Cecido with the drone. We then went up the old military mule tracks to the summit which features a new large cross on the Austrian forerunner. On the way back we deviate eastwards along the CAI-172 path on the Italian-Austrian border and visit the Cima Salvades di Manzon. Once you reach the Forcella Manzon you always go down along the military mule track along the Val Manzon to the homonymous Malga from here to the valley along the forest road unfortunately often interrupted by crashes on the ground. Long walk of 18 kilometers at high altitude amidst sun, snow and strong wind.
